Goodbye November, Hello December!

My goodness! It's been quite a while! November just about put me 6 feet under, let me just tell you.  Between friend's birthdays, kids, family birthdays, kids, luncheons, kids, Jacob's birthday, more luncheons, pictures, pictures of kids, Thanksgiving, MORE KIDS....I was ready to hit the bottle AND a few people.  Chaos would best describe November.  Glad it was here, very glad it's gone!  Now we're in December and I can only imagine what's yet to come.  So far, I have one sick son and seems as though I'm right behind him with the same crap! Yes, again.  I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired! But there's no time to be sick.  Lot's ahead in the month of December. I have a really weird feeling December will be a 'repeat' of November, only with Christmas and New Year's rounding out the chaos.

Today is December 5.  Our company has been so nice to provide a Christmas luncheon complete with dessert and music.  The food was delish but I must say guitar man was a little creepy.  Not only does he wear a smile like a pedophile, he's situated right across from me, making direct eye contact.  As I'm not nervous enough....

Moving right along....

F.Y.I.:  I have taken a ton of pics, most of which I've posted on Facebook, but after reading my BFF's blog I saw that she has run of of 'free' picture space on her blog so she has now turned to Shutterfly.  I, myself, already use Shutterfly, but had no idea I could store pics and use it like a 'blog'! Great idea.  So, I will begin downloading pics to Shutterfly for all to see.  It's still in the works.  As soon as I have it up and running, I will invite and share the link.  I will be adding more pics over the month of December and cannot wait to share with y'all.

Jacob's senior pics are in!!! Can you say EXPENSIVE???? The pics are great, but the poses....ehh...I could probably do a better job.  Which, is exactly what I'm going to do.  We'll see how they turn out!!!

Jacob's birthday was a success! 18 years old, November 27th.  My 'turkey' was born 18 years ago and I am having difficulties 'letting go'.  I am confident and proud of the son I have raised.  He's is wonderful.  He is kind, thoughtful, gentle, strong, respectful, gracious and so loving.  Jacob is such a beautiful soul.  He radiates with love.  I can only pray the Lord above keeps him safe as he begins his very own chapter in life.  "I love you, Jacob Ryan!! I pray the Lord guides you, strengthens you and gives you the desires of your precious heart.  You have been a pleasure in my life and I'm very honored to be your mom! I'm always here."

Thanksgiving was chaotic, as usual, but amazingly wonderful! I couldn't have asked for a better time with this crazy family.  I missed my daddy's side of the family this year, but Christmas is right around the corner and promises lasting memories.  This year, God willing, will be the first year I'm able to share time with mom's side, dad's side and even other sides!! Yay! I'm super excited.  Last year at Grandma's house (Dad's side) we had an ugly sweater contest.  This year we are expected to make/design 'favorite Christmas movie' t-shirts! Should be interesting....
Sorry, Angela, no Christmas porn allowed.

Shopping this year will not happen until the 20th.  And, that is early for me.  I usually do my shopping, under pressure, hating last minute shoppers, dressed in pajama pants on the 23rd.  Don't judge. Every freakin' year I promise myself I will begin shopping in January so that when December comes around, I'm all good and can enjoy the season.  Um.... ya.... that NEVER happens.  I usually end up wrapping I.O.U.'s.

I've been listening to Christmas music like crazy! I love, love, love Christmas music.  So many favorite songs with great memories...
Away In A manger- that's the song I would sing to my newborn Jacob, 18 years ago.  I'd sit there, rocking him, loving on him and singing until he would throw up. NOT BECAUSE HE HATED MY SINGING! He had a reflux.  lol
I'll Be Home For Christmas- that's a given.  I think all children of divorce sing that song, don't they? I never knew what side of the family to spend it with!
A Chipmunk Christmas- flat out reminds me of my Aunt Mary.  Makes me smile every time.
Hard Candy Christmas (by Dolly Parton)- a favorite of my many.  Reminds me of when I was a little girl and didn't have to worry about buying gifts!
Oh Holy Night- That's more of O Holy Crap,,, I'm running out of time to shop!
The list goes on and on, but I won't bore y'all with it.  Maybe later.

So happy it's December!!! I love putting up lights, decorating, baking, and spending time with loved ones!! Can't wait to see everyone!!! Much love.
